Effect of Adriamycin on Activities of ALP,Ca~2+-ATP-ase and Expression of NOS of Kidneys in Rabbits

Objective To explore the toxic mechanism of adriamycin (Adr) in the kidneys damaged in rabbits. Method The therapeutic dosage of Adr was injected into vein of rabbits in model group and saline was injected in control group. HE staining and enzyme histo-chemical methods were used and image analysis was performed, ALP.Ca2+-ATPase and NOS in kidneys of two groups were observed and compared. Result Pathological examination showed the kidneys damage. Enzyme histochemical examination showed ALP.Ca2+-ATPase activities were reduced and expression of NOS was increased in model group,P 0.01. Conclusion The therapeutic dosage of Adr reduced ALP,Ca2+-ATPase ctivities and increased the expression of NOS, Which may cause Kidney damage.
