Objective To investigate the function of Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook F(TⅡ) on inducing immune tolerance of pancreas allograft in diabetic rats. Methods 32 rats were divided into 2 groups: the control group and TⅡ group, whose daily blood glucose was monitored and the concentration of IL-2 in serum on the 3rd and 7th day after transplantation were detected with ELISA,respectively. The pancreas tissues were observed by pathology examination. Results The concentration of the blood glucose and the serum IL-2 in TⅡ group were significantly lower than control group, furthermore, the fibrosis in transplantation group was much more ameliorative than that in control group. Conclusion TⅡ may induce immune tolerance to some extent.
