Study on the Expression of Laminin and Vimetin during the Period of Neural Tube Development of Human embryo

Objective To investigate the expression and distribution of laminin and vimetin during the period of neural tube development of human embryo.Method Samples of early development of human embryo about 23 and 45 gestational days were collected and examined by using immunocytochemical ABC staining.Results There were laminin and vimetin immuno-positive substances in nerve cells of the epithelial lining and intermediate,marginal zones of neural tube. The value of integrated optical density of laminin-immunorecation during 23-days development of neural tube was lower than that of vimetin-immunorecation(1258.17±635 vs 2611.34±502,P0.05).Conclusion These results suggest that vimetin is main component in neural tube of early development of human embryo,while laminin being secondary,which may be of important role to the development of neural stem cells.
