The Application of Color Ultrasonography in the Differential Diagnosis of Thyroid Tumor

Objective To review and compare the characteristics of ultrasonographic appearance and pathological result of thyroid masses the general rule of ultrasonic diagnosis,so as to provide evidence for its differential diagnosis.Methods The size,morphology, echo and blood flow of thyroid were detected by using high frequency color Doppler.Results Color ultrasonic has characteristic sonographic appearance to all kinds of goiter.Color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) shows that there is a circular low-speed blood flow around the benign tumor,and an abundant high speed blood flow inside the malignant tumor.The ultrasonic diagnose accurate rate of the innate or malignant tumor is 95% and 75%,compared with the pathological examination rersults.Conclusion These results suggest that color Doppler has high value in clinical applications for the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant tumor of thyroid.
