Investigation on the Clinical Risk Factor of Recurrent Intracerebral Hemorrhage(ICH) in Patients with Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy

Objective To investigate the clinical risk factor of recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage(ICH) in patients with cerebral amyloid angiopathy(CAA).Methods Forty-one ICH patients with pathologically proven CAA in our hostipal from July 2006 to January 2010,were retrospectively reviewed and possible risk factors were analyzed by.Results Recurrent rate of ICH patients with CAA was 36.6%.The univariate and multivariate analyses revealed that hypertension was the only significant risk factor of recurrent ICH in CAA patients(χ2=9.22 P=0.002;OR:6.74;95% CI: 1.12-39.72).Conclusion Hypertension is the independent determinant of recurrent ICH in CAA patients,and positive control of the blood pressure,earlierly active treatment have important clinical significance.
