Progress of Research on Rat Hippocampal Neurons Involved in Learning and Memory Mechanisms and Influencing Factors

The learning and memory are the basic function of the brain,as one of the high-grade activity in the brain,their substances include the signal transduction and processing.The mechanism may include: ①neurophysiological mechanism:the conmmunication between neurons is closely related to the short-term memory,and synaptic plasticity,especially,long-term potentiation(LTP)is considered the molecular basis of long-term memory;②the neural biochemical mechanism: long-term memory is closely related to protein synthesis in the brain;In addition,the neurotransmitters also involve in the learning and memory activities;③neuroanatomy mechanism: the formation of long-term memory is related with establishment of the new synaptic contact.This article will review about effects of rat hippocampal neurons on learning and memory and related mechanism of research progress will be elucidated.
