Safety Management in Nursing of PICC of Tumor Patients

Objective To summarize the safety management of peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC) via peripheral venous puncture.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed to the outcome of 226 patients who have received PICC.Results Among 226 patients,there were 6 patients with phlebitis,1 patient with bleeding in puncture site,5 patients with Catheter obstruction and 2 patients with thrombus.There was no infection,displacement or breaking of catheter of all patients.Conclusion Safety management of PICC is effective in reducing the risk of catheter and avoiding patient disputes.
