The Research Progression of miR-200c in Ovarian Cancer

Xu Ning;Zhao Xia;Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics,West China Second University Hospital,Sichuan University;
miR-200cis a microRNA,which have been identified in both plants and animals,mature form of miRNAs have approximately 18-24 nucleotides long RNAs.miRNA regulates one or more genes expression after the transcription level,thus affects procedure in the many kinds of cells,including proliferation,apoptosis,cell cycle and differentiation.miR-200 cplays an important role in the process of cancer.In ovarian cancer,miR-200c is reported to correlate with the tumorigenesis and progression.miR-200cis also thought to be associated with drug resistance of paclitaxel in ovarian cancer,thus molecular targeted therapy for miR-200c can increase the sensitivity of paclitaxel.
