OBSERVATION THE TESTES OF 32 CRYPTORCHIDS BY TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPE
Jiang Ling Zhi, et al(Luchon Medical College)
We have observed the ultrastructural changes of testes from 32 cryptorchids by the means of transmission electron microscope. The patients were from 1 to 23 years old. Most of the patients were 2 to 9 years old and more cryptorchisms were on the left. There was no remarkable pathological change of testes in patients younger than 2 years old, but remarkable degenerations occurred in patients older than 2 years old. The older of a patient, the more serious degenerations of the testis. The degree of pathological changes were not the same, even in the same group of age. We suggest that the degree of degeneration in cryptorchism is not only related to ages, but also related to the location of testes. The higher the testis, the more serious the degeneration. This paper suggests a adequate age for operation.
