ANATOMICAL STUDY OF COMMON BILE DUCTS IN 42 CHINESE

Feng Yunping(Tongshan Hygiene Trainning School,Xuzhou 221006)
From the clinical point of view, the common bile duct was studied anatomically in 42adult cadavers. The results were as follows:The total length and the length of each segment of common bile duct varied greatly. The mean length of common bile duct was 75.3±13.3mm and their length of intramural segment was 16.6±4.0mm.The common bile duct pierced the duodenum wall at the posterior-medial aspect of descending portion and open ed into the duodenual papilla. There were 38 cases of which the pancreatic duct joined with the commop bile duct, whereas the former did not join with the later in the remaining 4 cases. The most of the pancreatic duct joined with the common bile duct at their left wall, as there were only 4 cases of pancreatic duct joined with the common bile duct at their anterior or posterior wall and no pancreatic duct joined at their right wall.Based on the data presented in this paper the author suggests that the incision length of Oddi sphinctor would not longer than 25 mm.
