Objective:To observe the efficacy and toxicity of array system for hyperthermia gemcitabine for pancreatic carcinoma.Methods:Thirty-four patients with local advanced and recurrent pancreatic carcinoma(Jan 2010~Jan 2015)in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups(n=17):study group(treated with gemcitabine(1000mg·(m2)-1 on d1,8,15,per 28 day a cycle and on the first day of chemotherapy began accepting array system for hyperthermia 2times a week(Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday),8times per cycle,)and control group(treated with alone gemcitabine(1000mg/m2 d1,8,15,per 28 day a cycle)).The increase and decrease of opioids consumption was recorded and toxicity and short-time effect were observed. Results:In the next2 months after beginning therapy, the opioids consumption of study group was decreased more than that of control(P0.01),there was no significant difference between 2groups in Ⅲ-Ⅳ°leukocytopenia(P0.05)and Ⅲ-Ⅳ°thrombocytopenia(P0.05),the short-time response rate was 20.0%(3/15)in study group and 13.3%(2/15)in control group(P0.05).Conclusions:Compared with alone gemcitabine, array system for hyperthermia combined with gemcitabine for local advanced and recurrent pancreatic carcinoma can significantly decrease opioids consumption.
