Effects of different concentration of gollatecatechin gallate on isolated frog heart

Objective:To investigate the effects of different concentration of gollatecatechin gallate(GCG)on isolated toad frog heart.Method:Using steinmann frog heart perfusion to prepare isolated frog heart specimen,isolated toad hearts were perfused with0.002mg·ml~(-1),0.02mg·ml~(-1) and 0.2 mg·ml~(-1) concentrations of gollatecatechin gallate(GCG)solution,and the heart rate(frequency)and myocardial contractility(peak to peak)changes were recorded with BL-420 biological function experimental system.Results:Compared with the control group,gollatecatechin gallate(GCG)significantly increased the heart rate(P0.05,P0.01)and decreased the cardiac contraction of the isolated toad hearts(P0.05,P0.01).Conclusion:GCG solution has significant effects on isolated toad heart function.
