Effect Factors of Collagen Content in Muscle of Landrace x Rongchang Crossbred Pigs

Landrace×Rongchang crossbred pigs fed with higher and lower nutrition level diets were slaughtered at the liveweight of20,35,50,80and100kg respectively in order to study the law of collagen content in muscle varying with liveweight ,nutrition level and gender.The results showed that:It was a logarithmic function of collagen content to liveweight (Y=0.0489lnx+0.0428,R 2 =0.8425).At the stage of20~35kg the collagen content reached the top(32.2%),and then varied insignificantly (P0.05).Nutrition level had not significant effeet on the collagen content .The collagen content of barrows was higher than that of gilts before50kg while it was insignificant between them after50kg.
