Changes of Signal transduction of Vip/NO in the medulla oblongata and blood of Rats with Spleen-deficiency

Objective:To discuss the signal transduction of the abnormal small intestine function of spleen-deficiency syndorme.Methods:We established the rats model of the deficiency of spleen qi by using herbs in bitter taste with indications of breaking Qi and descending and fully-poorly feeding food and measured the content of NO?VIP and the activity of NOS in the medulla oblongata and the blood through the methods of radioimmunity?Nitrate reductase and Spectrophotography.Results:The contents of VIP?NO and the activity of NOS in the medulla oblongata of deficiency of spleen qi syndrome group are less than those of the normal group and SiJunzi group.There is not any significant difference between the normal group and SiJunzi group,but the contents of VIP?NO and the activity of NOS in the blood of deficiency of spleen qi group are higher than those in the other two groups.Conclusions:The signal channel of VIP/NO may have extensive relationship with the deficiency of spleen qi syndrome.The alteration of the signal channel may be one of the main mechanism of pathophysioloy of the abnomal small intestine function and deficiency of spleen qi syndorme.
