Experimental study of angiogenesis effects and bFGF protein expressions in myocardium of infarcted rats promoted by Yiqihuoxue prescription.

Objective:To study the effects of myocardial angiogenesis and molecular mechanisms on infarcted rats after taking Yiqihuoxue prescription.Methods:After the model of acute myocardial infarction being established,the rats were classified into five groups,that is,large dose group,small dose group,Shexiang Baoxin Pills group,model group,sham group.6 weeks later,In order to evaluate myocardial angiogenesis and molecular mechanisms promoted by Yiqihuoxue prescription,expression of CD34 and bFGF at protein level were studied in immuneohistochemical method,and Microvascular vascular count(MVC)、Microvascular vascular density(MVD) in the edge of infarct section were measured.Results:compared to sham group,MVC、MVD and bFGF of model one were increasing obviously(P0.05).All the medicine groups had some certain increasing in MVC、MVD and expression of bFGF,and of the groups,especially large dose one were increasing obviously(P0.05).It is identity of MVC and expression of bFGF.Conclusions:Yiqihuoxue prescription could promote angiogenesis of the collateral branch of coronary artery in ischemic myocardium of rats and showed good protective toward myocardial ischemia;upregulating the expression of bFGF may be one of its mechanisms.
