On Chinese Incentive System by Future Stock and Stock Option

The establishment of an effective incentive and restraining mechanism is the key issue of corporate governance. As a long- term incentive measure commonly adopted internationally, futures stock and stock option system has been playing an important role in stimulating management' s initiative to maximize shareholders' interests. In recent years, futures stock and stock option system has been adopted gradually in China on a trial basis in its efforts to deepen the enterprise reform. This, to some extent, served as a stimulus to the management. However, many problems were encountered in this trial process, which need urgent study and solution.
