Development of Diesel EGR Based On UEGO

Liu Ruixiang1 Gao Xiyan2 (1. College of Traffic and Vehicle Engineering, Shandong University of Technology, 255012, China;2. The Institute of Internal Combustion Engine, Dalian University of Technology, 116023, China)
A new EGR system, which is based on universal exhaust gas oxygen (UEGO) sensor and controlled by a closed loop, is developed. The system uses the filtered clean recirculation exhaust gas. Using the air-fuel ratio measured by UEGO as the feedback to control EGR, the potential of depressing NOx of the EGR system can be brought into play sufficiently.
