Research on Damping Characteristic of Composite Material with Periodic Micro-truss Structure

The finite element model of sandwich structure with tetrahedron truss cores, the finite element model of composite material with periodic micro-truss structure and the model of composite material with particles are established respectively, and harmonic analysis is conducted on the three models. The amplitude-frequency curve of the chosen nodes in the three models is plotted, and the damping characteristic of the three models is analyzed by comparing the vibration response of the same node in different models. Through the contrast, we can conclude that the composite material model has the better performance of energy absorbing and shock absorption, however, the composite material model with particles has more significant advantages.
