THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY OF SMOOTH MUSCLE CELLS OF THE RAT CORONARY ARTERY

In this paper,the resting membrane potential(Em) of smooth muscle cells of the rat coronary artery was studied by advanced technique——intracellular microelectrode method.The effects of potassium chloride(KCl),acetylcholine(Ach),norepinephrine(NE) on membrane potential were observed,respectively.The results showed that the resting Em was steady,mean values for Em were -54.38±2.36mv;both KCl and ACh caused depolarization of Em in a concentration-response fashion.NE have no effect on Em.
