FACTORS AFFECTING INTRAOSSEOUS PRESSURE IN RABBIT TIBIA

Jin chengwen Lu Hongying Liu Yuechun Cheng Xiuzhen (Department of Physiology,Weifang Medical College,Weifang 261042)
The effects of blood dynamics on the intraosseous pressure of tibia in rabbit was observed in order to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of intraosseous pressure of the tibia under physiologic conditions. The results suggestted that the intraosseous pressure was very sensitive to changes of the venous pressure. The intraosseous pressure was increased significantly by pressing saphenous vein slightly. The changes in the arterial pressure also induced the fluctation of intraosseous arterial pressure induced by stretching right carotide. The injection of 0.9% NaCi resulted in an elevation of blood pressure and intraosseous pressure. While the blood pressure was significantly increased by venous injection of nonepiphrine and posterior pituitary hormones, the intraosseous pressure showed a diphase reaction. The results demonstrated that the intraosseous pressure was affected by venous pressure and arterial perfusion pressure. The results suggestted that the activity of bone vessels play a very important role in the stability of the intraosseous pressure.
