Studies on Effects of Ethanol on High Frequency Electrocardiogram in Rabbit

The acute effects of ethanol on High Frequency Electrocardiogram(HFECG) in rabbit were observed. We found that P-R segment and the duration of QRS complex were prolonged,the peak to peak amplitude of QRS complex was decreased,the J-T duration was reduced and the number of notches and slurs was more than that of before ethanol. On power spectrum analysis,high frequency was increased. These results indicate ethanol interfered cardiac electroactivity.
