The Application of Independent Component Analysis for Decomposition Surface EMG

The surface EMG(SEMG) signals decomposition algorithm based on independent component analysis(ICA) were exploned. A preliminary experiment was studied. The results show that this method can decompose the SEMG signal efficiently when the muscle contract level up to 10% of maximal voluntary contraction (MVC). It can be concluded that ICA is a promising method of preprocessing for SEMG decomposition.
