Study on a Method of Dual Beamformation for Medical Ultrasound Diagnostic Systems

In order to improve the frame rate for medical ultrasound diagnostic systems,the principles of dual beamformation was introduced, and performed an acoustic field model for dual beamformation and made simulations on its basis. By analyzing the simulation result, a kind of fatal distortion concerning receive was found and proposed later a simple way to correct it. It is validated by simulation results that the modified approach for dual beamformation is capable of forming nearly ideal dual beams with a simple and convenient hardware implementation.
