A New Non-invasive System for Manometry of Esophageal Varices based on Image Processing

To develop a non-invasive system for manometry of esophageal varices based on image processing.The methods of image-acquisition based on pci bus,pressure data-acquisiton based on USB interface,edge detection,dynamic tracking and so on were applied.Results showed that the experiments proved that the measured pressure had high stability and ideal correlation with the actual pressure in the artificial varices.The clinical measurement also showed ideal correlation between the pressure measurement by this system and the traditional methods.The system can measure the esophageal variceal pressure accurately.
