Artificial Lung Simulator and Its Acquisition System based on the Lab VIEW

To develop an artificial lung simulator for testing the performance of a mechanical ventilator. First,the applicable formula based upon the Boyle's law under the ideal case of the artificial lung simulator was derived. Then,the pressure inside the lung simulator was acquired by a data acquisition system based upon the Lab VIEW for computing the performance index,the compliance.The model and the data acquisition system were given. The artificial lung simulator designed can be used to test the performance of a mechanical ventilator.
