THE AUTONOMIC NERVEOUS FUNCTION ACQUISITION BY HEART RATE POWER SPECTRAL ANALYSIS

The heart rate power spectral analysis method was established at the APPLE-Ⅱmicro-comptiter and the effects of the autonomic tierves on heart rate power spectumwas observed. It was indicated that the high frequency peak was mainly determined by thecardiac vagal nerve and the high frequency peak density(HFPD)was reduced as the cardiacvagal nerveous tonicity was suppressed;the low frequency peak was related to both the car-diac sympatic and the vagal nerves,the raising of the sympathetic nerveous tonicity can in-crease the low frequency peak density (LFPD).It was concluded that the heart rate powerspectral analysis could be a simple and non-invasive prohe for the autonomic nerveous func-tion.
