Analysis on Cost-Utility for Water Supply Improvment and Fluoride Reduction Project of Shandong Province

? Objectivte:To compare the costs and the utility for different defluoridation projects in Shandong province.Methods:Using cost-utility analysis method to compare the utility of the two main defluoridation projects (digging low-fluoride well and bone char defluoridation).Results:The difference of total costs between well-digging projects and BC projects had no statistical significance,but the cost per person of BC projects was higher than that of the other.The utlity per person in people benefiting from well-digging projects was 10 QALYs,while it was 5.26 QALYs in people benefiting from BC projects .The difference has statistical significance conclusion.The cost-utility ratio(CUR)of well-digging projects was less than that of BC projects with statistical significance. 〔
