THE FUNDAMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MOUNT TAI FLORA

Some natural conditions in the geologic and recent periods, which have been producing a great impact on the Mount Tai flora, are shown in this paper. Based upon the author's statistical analysis, the floristic characteristics of the Mount Tai can be concluded as that:it is ancient in origin; abundant in species, genera, families, and notable in preponderant families and genera;complex in geographical elements with dominant temperate zone in nature. The relations of the Mount Tai flora to the neighboring areas are described and discussed in this paper as well.
