An Analysis of Technological Innovations in Large and Medium-sized Enterprises: The Case of Shandong Province

Awareness and capacity of innovation in large and medium-sized enterprises of Shandong province have been greatly increased in recent years. However, there still exist some problems such as the high cost of innovation, the introduction and source of new technology. The main obstacles to technological innovation in the enterprises of Shandong province are as follows: the decision of entrepreneurs, funds, talents, and system of scientific research and innovation risks. Consequently, the countermeasures against these obstacles include the establishment of internal technological innovation systems in enterprises and the relevant systems in the government, favor of merger, purchasing, combination and recombination of enterprises, the improvement of intermediary organs as well as the improvement of external environment for technological innovations.
