Study on short-term optimal joint operation of Three Gorges and Qingjiang cascade hydropower system

A short-term optimal joint operation model is proposed for the Three Gorges-Qingjiang cascade hydropower system,with consideration of the influence of the Yangtze water level on the downstream discharge-stage relationship of Gaobazhou hydropower station,and the flow propagation inside the cascade reservoir system.In this model,piecewise functions are constructed to represent the influenced discharge-stage relationship according to the flow measurements,and the flow propagation is calculated using an equation of linear regression that is formulated by using correlation analysis of the measured data.To meet the deed of non-negative fitness,improved AGA with sine-roulette wheel selection operator is applied in the simulation.The calculations of optimal operation for several representative hydrographs show that joint optimal operation can produce a greater benefit in power generation.These results provide a reference for daily generation scheduling of the Three Gorges-Qingjiang cascade hydropower system.
