Rotor dynamic analysis for the rotor-seal system of hydro turbine

This study solved the Reynolds equations and simulated the rotor dynamic behaviors of the hydropower unit system with Newmark method using the seal form and boundary conditions of a hydro turbine.This simulation includes the components of generator rotor,main shaft,upper guide bearing,turbine guide bearing,hydro turbine runner,crown seal,and bend seal.The dynamic behaviors of this system were obtained and compared with the measured operation data.It is shown that the calculations of this oil film force model agree with the measurements.
