Highly active Au nanoparticle catalyst anchored on an organosulfur-bridged SBA-15 support

A novel Au nanoparticle catalyst deposited on the SBA-15 support containing-CH 2-CH 2-CH 2-S-S-CH 2-CH 2-CH 2-groups in silica walls(Au-S-S-SBA-15) was synthesized by in situ reduction of HAuCl 4.This catalyst exhibited high dispersion degree of Au active sites,ordered mesoporous structure and strong surface hydrophobility,leading to the high activity in phenylacetylene hydration.
