Determination of Shakedown Load for Truss

In this paper,a new method for solving shakedown load λ_s fortruss is introduced.The virtual work equations of residual force are set up bytaking the elastic deformations of the truss as virtual displacement of resi-dual force,and rule applying virtual force to truss for getting elementaryvirtual work equation is presented.So a linear programming model is ob-tained.This method is simple and clear.It is especially suitable for compu-tational analysis.
