A Study of Transmission Mechanism on Modulated Clutch

The transmisson mechanism of the modulated clutch is analysed withthe hydrodynamic lubrication theory.With a view to the characteristics ofthe modulated clutch,the Reynolds equation was revised by incorporating thefluid rotational inertia force in the calculation model and its numerical solu-tion was based on the finite element method.The temperature distributionand hydrodynamic pressure distribution have been obtained by solving therevised Reynolds equation together with the energy equation.Furthermore,the action of oil grooves on the disks and the impact of their shapes havebeen studied.
