The Temperature Field and Phase Transformation Process of the Bearing Steel during Laser Heating

The research of austenitizing process of tempered GCr15 bearingsteel during laser heating is presented here.Based on the principle of heattranster,a mathematic model was established of the temperature field and phasetransformation process during laser heating.By means of the finite differencemethod,calculation was carried out with Gauss-Seidle's alternating processon a CDC computer.The relationship between thn temperature distributionin the hardened profile of the plate specimen,the volume percentage ofaustenite and martensite and the technical parameters of laser heating wasmeasured.The present study offers a theoretical guideline for makingoptimum selection of laser hardening technical regulation.
