Slowly Varying Forces on Submerged Slender Body Advancing in Two Waves from Different Incident Angles

In order to use spectral analysis theory to calculate second order wave forces which naval architectures suffered in the random sea waves, the second order wave forces which naval architectures suffered in any one regular wave or any two regular waves should be calculated firstly. In this paper, a strip theory for the second order wave forces on slender bodies advancing in two regular waves from different incident angles was established. As a component of the total second order wave forces, the slowly varying forces on the submerged slender body and their variation in different subemergence and combinations of incident angles were given and discussed.
