Optimal Synthesis of Linkages for Motion Generation

The proposed optimal synthesis method guarantees that there are no order defect and branch defect in the solutions obtained, there are fully rotatable input side links in the linkages, and overall size of linkages meets the requirements desired. The optimal synthesis objective aims to optimize the force transmission characteristic of the linkages. After the optimal synthesis model is set up, a modified genetic algorithm is employed to seek the global optimal solution. The results of two optimal synthesis examples verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
