A Simple Arithmetic of Total Transfer Capability of Interconnected Electric Power Systems

The total transfer capability (TTC) over the interconnected transmission network was analyzed by taking typical load mode and most generation mode and least generation mode into account with the N-1 steady state security constraints of tie line group. A simple mathematic model was introduced and the significant influence on TTC was indicated. The case study was made at a practical system according to the real-time operation data and scheduled generation mode, and it is proved that the method is very effective for TTC calculation.
