Numerical Studies of Effects on Two Carbon Particles Interactive Combustion

The mathematical model of combustion of carbon particles,which based on mass,momentum and energy conservation law,was established.Effects of different combustion parameters,including particle distance,air velocity and incoming flow angle,were numerically studied for steady two interactive carbon particles combustion process.Detailed information of distribution of the velocity vector,the temperature and the components' mass fraction around the carbon particles were obtained.The effects of all these condition on the carbon combustion were analyzed.The mutual influence rule between the particle-particle and the particle-flow were also obtained.The results show that increasing particle spacing and flow velocity appropriately is conducive to combustion.Besides,the surface temperature of carbon particles changes regularly with the alternation of flow direction.
