The Effect of Nb Content on Ti3Al+Ti5Si3 Dual Phase Alloys

The effect of Nb on microstructure and properties of Ti3Al+Ti5Si3 dualphase alloys has been studied;it indicates that with the Nb content′s increasing from 0 to 20%,the morphology of the alloy microstructure remains almost the same and the basketweave microstructure is observed in the primary phase of the dualphase alloy with 10% Nb.The fracture strength of the alloy under room temperature and microhardness of the matrix increase significantly with the Nb content′s increasing.The Ti3Al+Ti5Si3 alloy with 10% Nb has the best comprehensive properties.
