Study on the WholeLoadRange Performance of Superturbocharged Diesel

Yang Lin Gu Hongzhong (School of Power and Energy Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University)  
The Gusystem is introduced to superturbocharged diesel. Based on the performance comparisons of the Gusystem with the sequential turbocharging system (STC), waste gate system and other several ordinary systems, a new concept of the lowest adjusted load point is suggested. It is proved that the Gusystem has advantage of reducing mechanical and thermal load, be and NOx, and improving partial load performance. The effects on diesel dynamics and airexchanging have been investigated, and a method to design the Gusystem is established, whose adaptability and efficiency have been turned out by practice.
