Song Ronghao; Zhu Zongyuan (Plant Protection Research Institute, Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shanghai 201106, China. )  
As the microorganisms antagonistic to Phytophthora blight of pepper were introduced into natural soil, the population of microorganisms was increased to ten times more than the control and kept a high density at least two months. Use of organic matters stimulated the activities of either indigenous microoganisms or antagonistic microorganisms in soil. When the organic matter is mixed with these antagonistic microorganisms before being added to soil, they have the chance to be the first to use nutrients for multiplication and so become the dominants.
