Effect of Carbon Nanotube Structure on the Properties of Infrared Radiation Heat Dissipation Coatings

A carbon nanotube(CNT)composite coatings were prepared by mixing water based polyurethane(PU)as film forming material and CNTs as functional filler. The composite coatings had excellent heat dissipating properties via enhanced infrared radiation. The influences of CNTs with different structural parameters on the heat dissipating properties of coatings were compared. The results revealed that CNTs could largely enhance the infrared radiation property of composite coatings,and better crystal structure and less defects of the CNTs could induce higher heat dissipating performance of the composite coatings.
