Study on Preparation and Properties of Water-based Thermal Insulation Coatings for Industrial Heating Equipment

Water-based thermal insulation coatings for industrial heating equipment was prepared by waterborne silicone acrylate resin as main resin,hollow glass microspheres as insulation filler,with coloring pigments,fillers and additives.The influence of main resin,heat insulation filler type,adding amount and construction method on the performance of the coatings was studied.The results indicated that the thermal conductivity of coating can be reduced to 0.041 W/(m·K)and the coating showed best comprehensive performance when the hollow glass microspheres G-2 amount was 15%.The heat insulation performance of coating which was prepared by spraying is better than that of the coating prepared by scraping.
