The Relationship among Jurchens of Jianzhou (建州女真),the Ming Dynasty and Korea during the Period of Jingtai (景泰) and Tianshun(天顺)

This article discusses the relationship among Jurchens of Jianzhou(建州女真),Ming Dynasty and Korea.The author argues that the reason why Jurchens of Jianzhou ceaselessly invaded the border of Ming Dynasty is its thirst for treasure and restrictions on its tributes imposed by Ming Dynasty.The fact that Jurchens of Jianzhou kept in touch with Korea and Korea took the initiative to accept Jurchens of Jianzhou showed that Korea made great efforts to compete with Ming Dynasty for the control of Jurchens.The contact between Jurchens of Jianzhou and Korea was interfered by Ming Dynasty and ended with apologies of both Jurchens of Jianzhou and Korea to Ming Dynasty by offering horses as tribute.The relationship among Jurchens of Jianzhou,Ming Dynasty and Korea during the period of of Jingtai(景泰)and Tianshun(天顺)demonstrates the decline of Ming Dynasty in strength and prestige.
