A New Method for the Speech Diagnosis of Laryngeal Diseases

Model analysis method was studied on speech diagnosis of laryngeal diseases. The vocal cords are assumed to be bilaterally symmetric and divided by depth into three parts, namely upper, middle and lower. Each part of the glottal model consists of a simple mechanical osillator having a mass, spring, and damping. The mathematical expression of the model is given. The influence of factors such as cord tension, subglottal pressure of the vocal cords on the stimulated waveform in temporal sequence area was studied. The results revealed that the three-mass model analysis of the vocal cords is effective in the analysis of hoarse voice and diagnosis of laryngeal diseases.
