The Parameter for Evaluating The Stability of The Experimental System of Isolated Working Heart

The experimental system of isolated working heart from animals has been used extensively for hemodynamic and metabolic studies. However, the cardiac function of the experimental system behave with a unstable nature and decrease during the perfusion course. In present study, we try to depict the stability of the experimental system with a mathematical method. We find that the liner regression equation of mean aorta out -flow with the duration of perfusion appears a simple model and proposal that the area under the regression line is a rational parameter indication the stability of the experimental system.
