Studies on the Effect of the Rice Straw Treated with Ammonium Sulphite and Urea

Rice straw was treated with (NH 4) 2SO 3(0%,4%,8% ), (NH 2) 2CO (4%), moisture being 45 percent and being vacuumed storage for 1 month. Then the method of rumen nylon bag was used to test the effective degradability of rice straw, and analyzing the correlated nutrition index.The trial effect indicated: (NH 4) 2SO 3 ( 4%,8%) could significantly improve the content of CP,S and Ash in rice straw,and they respectively increases CP(83.80%,174%),S(370%,465%) and Ash(6.13%,2.76%).They also could reduce the content of NDF and ADF, respectively decrease NDF(5.48%,6.98%),ADF(3.94%,14.16%); could significantly increase (P0.05) the effective degradability of DM and OM in rice straw and markedly decrease (P0.05) the effective degradability of NDF. The (NH 4) 2SO 3 (8%) respectively improves the effective degradability(12.57%,13.11%) of DM and OM and decrease the effective degradability(13.54%) of NDF. The result was not as good as that of rice straw treated with (NH 2) 2CO (4%).Urea could markedly increase 113.00% the content of CP,decrease the content of NDF and ADF(0.70%,9.60%) respectively, and it could significantly increase (P0.01) the effective degradability of DM,OM and NDF, respectively improving 22.80%,21.51% and 10.30%.
