Algorithm and Engineering Implementation for a Sonar Signal Simulator

At first, the algorithm for generating signals and noise with a sonar signal simulatior is proposed. The method of complex envelop modulation is employed in generating the target reflecting signal. Noise is proposed by activating an AR filter with white noise, and two approaches of real and complex AR filtering are compared. Based on the algorithm, a hardware block diagram is presented. Several key techniques, such as generation of uniformly distributed white noise and multi-channel uncorrelated noise are analyzed. Hardware and software designs are put forward. The experimental result with the simulator is analyzed and tested.
