Pole-Zero Design Method of Power Frequency for Eliminating Notch Filters

A notch filter to digitally filter out 50 Hz power frequency and its harmonics are designed for the testing signals of vibration modal experiment. The notch filter used is superior to the other algorithm both in effectiveness and flexibility of implementation. This paper describes the method which is used to design the notch filters. Real signal processing application to vibration modal testing is given and it shows the efficacy of the notch filter.
